Aurokrishi – promoting organic farming awareness and entrepreneurship

AuroKrishi is an initiative of Gramonnati Trust - a not-for-profit Social Enterprise that aims to support rural transformation through technology and entrepreneurship. Aurokrishi programme focuses on enabling rural entrepreneurship in organic farming by providing rural farmers with training, education and technology in order to shift to organic, environmental friendly and sustainable practices.

We also undertake short trainings to spread awareness on topics like urban rooftop gardens, mushroom farming, nursery creating, bio-inputs, value addition, etc.

Sharanam

Sharanam is a pristine residential training facility outside Pondicherry, near Lake Ousteri. It has been developed and is managed by the partners of Gramonnati Trust, Sri Aurobindo Society, Pondicherry. It has become an architectural landmark and is recognized by the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) as one of most sustainable, green and environment-friendly designs in India.

Matrikunj Farm

Matrikunj is a 43-acre land on the outskirts of Puducherry, where our partner Sri Aurobindo Society combines tradition, innovation and science to develop and promote sustainable organic agriculture. Matrikunj programs educate farmers in the fields of natural farming practices, herbal medicines, and seed preservation. This training institute by approaching the farming in a consciousness-based way aims to become not only a model farm but also a living laboratory for various conscious farming techniques..

Gratitude Farms

Gratitude Farms located in Pondicherry specializes in Aquaponics and has set up one of the largest Aquaponics farm in Tamil Nadu.
