In the endeavour to touch and reach maximum villages and make the rural population aware of the work being done by Gramonnati, our team visited the village of Nawargawan, the anadiwasi village 33 km from Jabalpur on the way to Amarkantak. The village panchayat consists of three villages, namely Nawargawan, Kolmuhi and Dugargawan, with a total population of approximately 3000. Gramonnati Team attended the camp organized by the Rotary Club of Jabalpur in association with the Field Outreach Bureau, Ministry of I & B on the 15 Dec 18. A preliminary visit was carried out on 13 Dec 18 to assess the various activities which can be undertaken to benefit the population of the villages.
The village has a small primary school and a middle school up to class 8. The village has just two or three water sources in the form of wells and a hand pump.
